SongBrush Privacy Policy

This privacy policy refers to the practices of the SongBrush mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the “Service") in handling user data.

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use the Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

By using the Service, you agree to the use of your personal data in accordance with this policy.

Information Processing and Use

We process several different types of information to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Processed

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide the application with information necessary to its functionality. The information consists of voice data, media library data and photo library access.

Voice data refers to the audio input obtained by the microphone of the device hosting the Service. The Service requires real-time audio data in order to determine the pitch and volume of your voice. These measurements are then converted into colors on screen, the conversion of which is a core feature of the Service.

Voice data obtained by the microphone and processed by frequency and amplitude analysis algorithms will not be collected by the Service. Your voice data will never be shared with a third-party entity for marketing purposes or for commercial gain.

Media library data refers to your collection of images, audio and video stored on the device hosting the Service. The service may ask you for permission to access audio data in the form of songs from your music library in order to perform the same sort of pitch and volume analysis which the Service performs for voice data. The Service does not access any other portion of your media library, nor does the Service attempt to perform any kind of analysis of your media library except for the aforementioned pitch and volume analysis of selected songs.

Photo library access refers to the access which the user of the Service grants to allow the Service to request the iOS operating system to write an image or video to your photo library on your device. This functionality is entirely optional and allows the user of the Service to save any images or video created by the Service during normal use onto the user’s device.

Use of Data

SongBrush uses the personal data for various purposes:

To provide and maintain the Service
To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
To detect, prevent and address technical issues while the Service is in use

Transfer Of Data

Your information, including the personal data outlined in the aforementioned section above, will not be transferred outside of the device which hosts the Service unless you, the user of the Service, specifically request to share an image or video rendered by the Service using the share functionality.

The Service does not collect any user information, whether from normal usage of the Service or from using the sharing functionality of the Service. The user of the Service shall not be required to provide a login name, email address, phone number, social media account or any other common personally identifiable information in order to use the features of the service.

SongBrush will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
